The Christmas Stories in the Capital of Nativities

Friends from Lebanon, guests from the Netherlands and Italian tellers from Tuscany, Piedmont, Sicily and Emilia Romagna joined us for the first storytelling workshop on Christmas Tales.

Directed by the storyteller Giovanna Conforto, from December the 28th till December the 30th, we worked together at personal stories on Christmas. We draw on classic stories from the Jewish, Christian and Muslim tradition. We walked around Portico di Romagna, looking for inspiring details in the local nativities. We scanned our personal memories on Christmas.

By mixing this all, we built our original stories on Christmas, providing an innovative perspective on a universal topic such the return of light, the nativity and the winter solstice.

Supported by many visitors, on Friday December the 30th, we performed our stories along the streets of Portico di Romagna, the capital town of nativities. We told our stories everywhere, under the porticoes, along the river, over the bridge, in the government palace and in the hall of Albergo Ristorante Al Vecchio Convento.

Now, we share with you all these pictures of our magic day. With them, we are pleased to wish you all a happy 2017, full of stories to discover and share.
