Giovanna Conforto, Creative Director of the Italian Storytelling Center, introduces us all the news about the 2017 edition of the storytelling workshop on Christmas Tales.
From December 28th to December 30th, Dal 28 al 30 dicembre, the Italian Storytelling Center, based in Portico di Romagna, paese dei presepi, hosts the second edition of Christmas Tales. This year the worshop will revolve around story gifts to foster the original spirit of Christmas. Maybe, it will be a little like the spirit of Saint Francis, when he designed the first ever nativity in Greccio?
Giovanna Conforto explains Christmas Tales 2017
We are not looking for material gifts, but for something that can warm up our hearts and souls. We are looking for Christmas stories, songs, ideas, something to develop together, a dream. We are open to everything that relates to Christmas. We will share our special immaterial gifts in front of the fire place, sipping herbal infusions and tasting biscuits.
We will find out some gifts at the very moment of the workshop. We already know some of them, thogh. For example, we will be guided by a very special local expert to identify the nativities hidden in the painting of the church of Portico di Romagna.
The program of Christmas Tales
On Friday, we will spend the whole day to work and share our stories in Portico. On the contrary, on Staurday, we will stop working by 1 pm. This way, in the afternoon, tellers who love it will perform their stories across town. It will be a way to share our creations with local people and create a unique and lively nativity.
